Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I'm going to discuss why you should keep a gaming journal. I've been on and off gaming journaling and I'll talk from my personal experience so you can get a better idea of why you should game journal too.

You can keep a list of all the games you have completed

By keeping track of all the games you have completed you'll be able to brag to your friends (or the internet, I've beaten 42 ;) ). You'll also be able to reflect on what games you liked the most and what you liked the least to see what games you want to beat in the future. Adding dates to when you beat games allows you to see the progression of your game tastes and see if they have changed at all.

Track achievements as you try to complete them

Right now I'm trying to complete Skyrims platinum and from all the different achievements you have to get is a lot. By writing down and tracking the hardest achievements, it'll make the game easier as you go along and you don't lose any potential progress towards achievements. This tactics also works for small achievements and not forgetting about them as you progress the story as some can be locked out as you progress.

Take general notes as you go along to not forget anything

Taking general notes helps you if you are the type of gamer who goes back and forth between different games as you won't forget where you left off. Doing this in general would help to plan any RPG builds or farms as well if you tend to stick to one or two games at a time. For me is like normal journaling, but you remember the experiences of the game but not life and makes me grateful for the experience.

Keep track off passwords you may use

If you are the type of gamer who games everywhere you'll accumulate a lot of passwords. By keeping passwords down in a journal you'll be able to not get them hacked as easily and you can easily access them from anywhere the journal is.

Thank you for reading this little list of reasons why you should keep a gaming journal. If you would like to keep a gaming journal or already do please let me know and we can journal together!
