Hello and welcome to the first updated Screenshot Sunday. Today I'll be concentrating on Tomodachi Life and Zelda as they're the only games I've be screenshotting for the blog. Other games will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube. You can find my YouTube below in the website.

Hestu

Not far from the village was Hetsu. If you don't know who he is, Hestu is a Korok who got his maracas lost and when you return them asks you for Korok seeds. Below are some photos of after I returned his maracas. Honestly, I think he's pretty cute and his song is catchy as well and I suggest listening to it at least once.

Fashion

Here you can see some new fashion items acquired in game. The armour sets are the Hylian and Sheika sets of armour that I bought in Enchanted (located in Kakariko Village). These armours help to either improve stealth or armour rating depending on the set equipped. If it was up to me I would collect the rest of the Hylian set for the beginning of the game for price purposes and the fact that you don't really need stealth. My favourite armour set is the Sheika set as Link's hair is put into a cool pony tail and he has a scarf, which is also very fashionable. For protective purposes, it has to be the Hylian set unfortunately.

Horses

As I've gotten more into the game I've been able to tame two horses called Epona and Missy. Epona was named after the classical naming of the past Zelda horses, and Missy is named after the bestest dog in the world, my dog Missy. Missy's the spotted one and Epona is the blue and white horse if you would like to be able to differentiate between them in the future. I like the taming/ boarding process in this game. This is because you've first got to tame the horse, keep it alive until you've gotten to a stable, pay, and then be able to name/board your horse. By having this system in game shows that the player is very committed to owning and looking after their horses and not just riding them. In games this doesn't happen so is a great touch.

Shrine

Close to the stable where I boarded my horses and this is the shrine's puzzle. To be able to complete this Shrine you would be using the ice power on the walls to a) climb them and b) use them to get the ball into the hole down the bottom. This puzzle was quite hard to do despite it's ease in explanation. I easily died about 10 times just trying to reach where the ball drops which is honestly very embarrassing to admit. Apart from this, the Shrine was actually very fun and is one of my top three (no the 50 rupees didn't persuade me).

Reaping Rewards

A neat little feature in game is that when you collect 4 spirit orbs you can upgrade either your health or stamina. After collecting the last spirit orb for the map section I upgraded my stamina. This was due to me using the upgrade for health last time. I've decided to try to keep it equal between the two by doing one and then the other afterwards. In my my honest opinion, I really like how this slow upgrading of health and stamina is done. For me, its how it forces the player to adventure and learn to play the game to upgrade health and stamina. And who doesn't want to feel like a badass when the vessels come down?

Importing New Islanders

From the last Tomodachi Thursday I said I would import over some new islanders, and I did! They are Mark Cerny (PlayStation), Phil spencer (Microsoft), Pietta (made up), and Freddy (made up). Mark and Phil were added as I thought they would be a good fit with islanders like Todd and Samantha in the sense that they are from the game industry. Freddy and Pietta was added in as I thought that it would be good to get some random islanders for the fun of it really. As a bit more fun I've included all of their photos and a group photo of them all in the middle.

Islander Photos

For more fun I also mucked around with the new photo mode in game. The top two are of the new fantastic four and the bottom two are of the whole islanders and the other is of the married couple on island. There was no other reason for doing this so enjoy!

Chat session

In the café there's certain times where the islanders talk to each other about random things really. Sometimes they have interesting conversations like how hard it is to get up in the mornings or being in the mood for splashing out. Very realistic! Honestly, I think that was the point but let's gloss over that. If you watch these happen you can also learn more about them depending on what they talk about. Obviously because they're irrelevant conversations, I didn't really learn anything from observing them.

Light stalking

Tomodachi Life is about observing the islanders with their life and helping them when needed, so causal stalking is going to be a part of that. As a disclaimer - please do not stalk people no matter what. So as I was saying, stalking islanders is a big part of this game. If they don't want help then they are usually doing something cool, so following them makes the game much more fun to play.

That's all for now. I've enjoyed writing this blog this way so I am definitely going to carry on writing like this. Hang around if you also like the blog to be written this way too.
