Order of the Life is Strange games

With multiple games coming out within the series, sometimes the timelines of the games can be confusing. Within this blog post I will hopefully make that clearer for you all. I have also suggested when to play the games as the games as there could be spoilers in the games if you don't want spoilers.

Life is Strange: Before the storm

Set in 2010, this game is set before the events of Life is Strange and is about Chloe Price. This shows of the story for Chloe and gives us more about this awesome character. As this is set before Life is Strange 1 we see the build up of events towards the beginning of the first game. I would preferably play this after the first Life is Strange due to spoilers.

Life is Strange

Life is Strange is set in 2013 and is the main fork for the series' timeline. We get to see the true beginnings of this world and the things it has in store for us. After this game, the consequences of our actions really impact the wider world and the rest of the games. Even though Chloe Price does make an appearance, this game has Max Caulfield as the main protagonist. Max's story is great and the story has a massive impact on emotions and the world. I would play this game first as there could be spoilers in other games.

Life is Strange 2

Within the year of 2016, this game played out within this universe. It means that it isn't a direct sequel, but a sequel no less. Brothers Daniel and Sean Diaz flees from their home town and still manages to stumble upon people and places from the first two games. These would be little spoilers but not too big of spoilers to worry about. Even because of this, I would play this after the first two games.

Life is Strange: True Colours

Three years later in 2019 we see Life is Strange True Colours. In True Colours we meet Alex Chen and explore the town of Haven Springs, Colorado and have a pretty fun time with emotion powers. Within the game, the only references to past games is the side character Steph Gingrich. Therefor, if this is your first game there will be little to no spoilers for the three other games in this series.
