With The Game Awards coming up this year, I would like to list my game of the year nominations. These are games that were released this year that I have played and enjoyed, and they are not necessarily the same as Geoff Keighley's list of games. Let us know which you agree with and your opinions.

Spider-Man 2 (PS5)

Spider-Man 2 is an amazing game and the best of the Spider-Man trilogy. Everything about this game was stunning. Graphics? Stunning. Gameplay? Stunning. Story? Stunning. I loved every moment of the game, and the twists and turns made it all the more fun. With the ending of the game, I won't be surprised by the announcement of Spider-Man 3!

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (Switch)

This isn't as good as Breath of the Wild, but the new gameplay was worth adding in. The craft mechanic was a nice touch that I really enjoyed messing about with at the beginning of the game. Exploring Hyrule was and still is the greatest thing about the new Zelda series and is expanded upon here nicely. With the new islands, we can explore the new Hyrule, which adds new layers of exploration that are great to play with and are fresh. If you loved Breath of the Wild, I would suggest this game.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (Modern Platforms)

Growing up, I loved the original A Wonderful Life, and this was a perfect remake. The graphics are cute, and all the added content is worth the upgrade. Playing this game makes me feel so cosy and is super relaxing. Playing this game, you see that this isn't ground-breaking but is different enough to still be a great game to relax to. If you are a fan of farming sims, you would love this game too.

Ultimate Sackboy (IOS)

Ultimate Sackboy is a nice platformer game on IOS and is the weakest on this list, but it is still great fun. In this game you play as Sackboy and play in races. The gameplay plays like Joe Danger and Little Big Planet and has the same graphics. I recommend this to anyone who loves LBP and loves mobile games.

Thank you for reading my list of game of the year nominations. If you have any differing opinions, let us know in the comments or on X, formally known as Twitter.
