Books that I think would be good as games

Hello today I'll be writing about books that I think would be good as games. For me reading and gaming are big parts of my day to day life so I'm exited to be able to write this blog.

Contender Series- Taran Matharu

For me this would be a great game concept as it is like The Hunger Games but has a more gamified story behind it. This is due to the fact that Cade and his friends needed to work out where they are and how to defeat enemies in battles to the death. The concept would make for some wacky side stories too. I say this as there could be a mode to play as the antagonists and make the game harder for the protagonists or similar. This would be a great puzzle solving RPG type game.

Summoner Series- Taran Matharu

Reading this I kept on thinking two things: Pokémon and Harry Potter. Pokémon as they can have Pokémon like monsters and Harry Potter as they can cast magic in this world. I feel like this would be an awesome game concept as the combination of the school/fantasy setting could lead to some cool gameplay elements. The story is also intriguing so it would be a great experience if the book can have an honest adaption to a game. Mimicking Pokémon would be a great idea for this game as the monster system is very similar.

The Gilded Ones- Namina Forna

This book was an absolutely amazing read and having it have a game adaption would mean a great game. For example, training, the friends you can make, and fighting the deathshrieks would be fun to play out in games. The internal struggles that the characters go through might not be represented as easily but I would like to see writers have a go none the less. I feel like this would be like Life is Strange mixed with normal RPG's.

Misery- Steven King

I'm fully aware that this book and the next are weird but hear me out: a Tell Tale game. Make it Story driven but also have 'puzzles' thrown in to add to the suspense of certain..... actions. In my opinion there should be more enthesis on the book version and make it an 18 as the movie was dulled down a lot to not make it so messed up as the book.

1984- George Orwell

As this book was making an observation on the UK government and most games are made in the US I wouldn't be surprised if it was changed to fit that. I can see this being a good game as the going behind the backs of people and choosing how to do it would get multiple endings. 1984's story would also be great to have 'modernized' as it is a classic book everyone should read anyways. The game could be a stealth and psychological horror for sure.
